Aqueous Coating is a quick-drying, water-based, protective coating that is applied during the printing process. Aqueous coatings provide great protection from scuffs and marks. Print Jobs will be resistant to smudges, fingerprints and scratches during shipment and as an end product. Even with an aqueous coating, you are still able to write on the product with a permanent marker. Aqueous coating can be added to a project for a small price. What is a bleed? “Bleed” is the term for printing that goes right to the edge of the paper. If you want to have coloured backgrounds or images continue to the edge of the print job they must continue past the trim marks to the full bleed margin. If they do not continue to the full bleed margin you most likely will end up with white strips along the edge of the product due to the cutting process. The file size with bleeds will be 0.25? larger than the final cut size in both dimensions. So if you are designing an 8.5 x 4.5 flyer the size of your design file would be 8.75 x 4.75.CLICK HERE for more info. How do I set up my files for print? You can click on the FILE SETUP link at the top of the page. This will give you all the information you need to setup your file for upload. We also included print-ready templates that you can download which contain the perfect settings we require for a job. What is CMYK? CMYK ( also called 4 colour ) is a subtractive color model that masks Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (black) together to form different colours and to “subtract” the brightness from a white background. All professional printing is done using CMYK. What are pixels/inch? Pixels per inch ( also called DPI – dots per inch ) is a measurement of the resolution of a computer screen or image. It is a the ratio between the size of the display in inches and the total number of pixels in the horizontal and vertical directions. A higher DPI means there will be more colour information in each inch of space because there are more pixels with less space between them. A high DPI yields a sharper and better quality image. Most colour printing requires 300 DPI, anything less that this will result in a sub par print job. What printing process do you use? Adpress Printing uses the 4 colour printing process ( CMYK ). We use this method to print rather than RGB printing because: It uses less ink than RGB based printing, therefore is more economical for our customers 4 colour printing is capable of producing richer dark colors than RGB printing What kind of paper do you print on? All of our flyers and brochures are printed on either 70lb or 100lb Gloss Text paper. Our postcards and business cards are both printed on 14pt card stock. Please make sure your PDF does not include layers, as this will drastically increase the file size of your image. How do I design folded and/or double sided flyers? The best way to design folded flyers is to take a blank piece of paper and actually fold in the way you wish to order it. This will give you an example to follow while designing. Please make sure to label your files yourname_front.pdf / yourname_back.pdf. For folded flyer please use yourname_inside.pdf / yourname_outside.pdf My upload did not work, what should I do now? The internet is a handy thing, but sometimes things go wrong which prevent a file upload from fully going through. If your file size is greater than 50 MB then it may not work on all browsers. You can simply us WETRANSFER, it allows you to send 2GB emails for free. Can I cancel my order after I have paid? We understand, that sometimes there may be a reason to cancel an order, and we do allow cancellations, however we expect you to understand that any cancellation must me made BEFORE your order has gone to print. How can your prices be so cheap? does this mean the printing is cheap quality? No way! Our prices are so low because WSMMG Printing works hard every day to find new ways to lower the cost to the customer, without even the slightest sacrifice of our quality work.
